First Entry!6/6/2020 On Tuesday, June 2, I met with Ms. Carsley and the rest of the provisional fellows to discuss our next steps on our projects. Soon, I will meet with Mr. Meyer, my mentor, to discuss my summer 40% requirement. Right now, I think it will probably be about learning the factors that led to the market crash (as seen above) and whether or not such a crash was inevitable. I'll most likely send surveys to both institutional and individual investors on the market change (depicted above). On a different note, yesterday, I finished Irrational Exuberance by Robert Schiller. It was a pretty decent read (I like the way his sections were structured, I'll probably copy its format). Today, I've started Economics in the Age of COVID-19 by Joshua Gans. This is probably the best book to start with for my project; it'll most likely shape my future approach to this topic. Hopefully, I'll finish reading it before my meeting with Mr. Meyer on Monday. Moving forward, my greatest concern might be the amount of time I have to complete this project. It's entirely possible that I might try to make too in-depth an analysis and spend too much of my time reading instead of writing. Oh well...we'll see what happens.
